Westside CRE Watch: From Santa Monica Self-Certification to SB 789

Over a dozen Westside Regional BOMA/GLA members gathered at Tishman Speyer’s Zo Lounge in beautiful Beverly Hills for a happy hour and information-sharing session on the state of commercial real estate on the Westside.

The event was led by Jessika Lloyd of Beverly Hills and Daisy Delmar of BXP, with support from April Weber of Knight Commercial, Sharion Young of HSG, and senior property and account managers from our generous Annual Partners Program.

Policy Updates

Together, the group gathered to hear updates on the progress of the self-certification motion in the City of Santa Monica.

Members also discussed the danger of SB 789 (commercial real estate vacancy tax) which is moving its way through the state legislature this cycle. 

While these updates generated some lively discussion, the true star of the show was the stunning charcuterie board (prepared by April Weber of Knight Commercial).
