Los Angeles Dodgers Celebrate World Series Victory with Downtown Parade and Festivities
The Los Angeles Dodgers have just won the World Series and all of LA is celebrating!
Downtown Parade
While winning the 2020 World Series as well, the Dodgers were unable to host a parade due to COVID-19 precautions. So, this year’s celebrations are surely destined to be double the celebration. The last time the Dodgers hosted a World Series parade was in 1988!
While exciting, our members need to know the potential traffic impacts the parade can provide this Friday, November 1st. LADOT will begin street closures as soon as 4:30 AM Friday morning.
Mayor Karen Bass will then kick off the Dodgers parade Friday at 11 AM at Gloria Molina Grand Park near City Hall. The 45-minute route will end at 5th and Flower.
A map can be found here. Road closures can extend one block in each direction along the parade route, including lower Grand Ave being closed from 4:30 AM to 4 PM.
Keep in mind that while partial street openings can start occurring at 11:45 AM, streets won’t fully be reopened until 4 PM.
Fans are encouraged to use public transit to avoid traffic and road closures.
Dodger Stadium Celebration
A ticketed celebration will happen at Dodger Stadium from 12- 1 PM, but the stadium parking lot will be open at 8:30 AM and gates will open at 9 AM.
The Dodgers advise fans it won’t be feasible to attend both events due to timing and traffic, so choose wisely, have fun, and be safe!
